Many companies require suppliers to be approved prior to use.  These suppliers are added to an approved supplier list and are then available for use by the organization.  The qualification process varies by organization, but typically the supplier will be assessed for financial stability, technical competence, quality assurance processes, and history/reputation within the industry.  There may be other criteria depending on the nature of the products being offered.

I would suggest the first step is to develop a professional presentation and literature and approach the target customer.  It is important that you not only pitch your product, but also determine the needs of the customer and become familiar with its supplier qualification process.
